Come and add your spark to the fire! Join local poet Terry Wooten for a screening of his award-winning documentary, The Stone Circle. For thousands of years, poetry was spoken around fires at night. The legendary Stone Circle is a triple ring of 88 boulders located on forested land in northern lower Michigan. For three decades builder and host poet, Terry Wooten, has safeguarded this national treasure along with a dedicated group of poets and musicians, who perform by a blazing campfire to a background chorus of croaking frogs and howling coyotes.
There will be a brief Q&A after the film with Terry Wooten.
Location: Crooked Tree Art Center Ross Stoakes Theater, 461 E. Mitchell St.
