In celebration of Law Day 2023, members of the Emmet-Charlevoix Bar Association are hosting an “Ask the Lawyers” event at the Petoskey District Library from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, May 1. Participating attorneys will be available to answer your legal questions in the areas of criminal law, domestic/family law, probate/estate planning, general civil, employment, real estate and more. This event is free of charge and open to the general public.

Looking to join in on the popular game of Mah Jongg? During the summer months, we’ll have the lower level classroom set up for Mah Jongg every Tuesday for players to drop in and join a game. This is open play without an instructor and those attending will be of various skill levels.
(Note: Since the Library will be closed, Mah Jongg will not take place on Tuesday, July 4. Mah Jongg will also be canceled for July 25 due to the annual book sale preparation taking place that week.)

Have you always wanted to make your own greeting cards? Want to learn more techniques for rubber stamping and paper crafting? Join card making extraordinaire Chris Smith for a card making series. At each session, you will create 3 cards, focusing on a variety of different techniques, including direct to paper, watercolor pencils, alcohol blends, generational stamping, die cuts, embossing, and more!
